1. It would require less players on rosters which would make them easier to fill....
2. Should make for more teams
3. Would make more competitive games

Then everyone could just have 10 stamina and never put any points in it and spam the power back 9000 times. It wouldn't work out the way you think it would.

1 - no, because people would change the roster make-up to utilize all 55 spots

Truth. You would have better Special Teams because you could those empty spots you once used for backups to fill with ST dots or you could get really specific on which dots play on which downs and formations without worry about needing backups.

Remember that time a few people thought the 2.0 rosters would result in fewer toons and then there were a billion FA toons that couldn't find a team?

The point is that it would be easier to field a competitive team with fewer players, not that the spots wouldn't be used.
