I originally started building a powerback. I loved the idea of beasting it up the middle for 4, 5, 6 yards and breaking a few tackles. In my 1 and only D-League game I had one carry for 20.5 yards and I THINK 2 or 3 broken tackles. I was impressed. Until I got to the human competition. Nothing seemed to really be going as it had on that one carry.

The OC wanted the HBs to start focusing their running style towards Elusive, and I adjusted my tactic accordingly. I saw a nice little bump in YPC.

My question is this:
Has anybody experimented, or inadvertently noticed improved performance in their PB when using the Elusive tactic?

Negative.

My back would always dance around and get stuck in the backfield when he could've just plowed right through. My power back has 50+ in both speed and agility, so something must not be right there.

I've found that pumping some points into the Elusive tree works wonders though (just the first four, spin isn't worth much when you can use Stiff Arm instead).

I just switched my custom equip.

Was at a +4 Strength, +2 Vision, Powerback Tree

Now +6 Strength, Elusive Tree.

Aiming for a Steven Jacksonesque type player. Have a game in 30 minutes ish. We'll give her a test run.

Aiming for the soft cap in strength, and going to start pumping up Quick Cut and Head fake. Mix that with 50+ strength, solid agility/speed. Hopefully I'll see something that'll catch my eye.

What if you were to make a speed-based back (with extra Carrying), but then make his running focus Power. Then he'll run downhill, but his speed and explosion will get him through holes faster than defensive players have to react.

Its too late for me to try that one, but definitely an interesting concept. I would have been better off with a decent O-Line. My current team is in shambles. I'd hate to ask for a release/trade, but I'm getting nowhere, and no judge of my player's abilities. Poor chemistry and being SEVERELY outmatched = no bueno.

Last Game: 3 carries for 3.5 yards

you see the way that you're one of the lowest level players on a weak team for your league? That might have something to do with it...

I run with power running. It works well. I have broken many tackles and gained a lot of yards using power running against competition equal of level to me and have been pretty consistent. However in some games either my guy plays bad or he doesent get many carries due to offensive tactics or our offense getting shut down. However he has kept 5.5 yard average this season and hopefully will stay that way. Game 2 and 3 I tried runnning on elusive and it just didnt work out.

I'm one of approx 15+ players at or below Level 11. I know my HB isn't a beast, and we're out matched, but it's too late to hit the D-Leagues haha.

I'm going to start running on power again, see how that helps

I feel you man, I have been told i have an excellent build but I am averaging 3.2 yards per carry and have never been on a team with an even solid rush game

Offensive stats seem to be less than normal in this game. Not sure if it's a time management thing, or what.

lmao. My HB just tore it up. I switched his style back to power:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=9884113 (51 yard TD run, beast mode up the middle)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=9885813 (ha, could have taken a little shorter route, but what the hell..)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=9886129 (no broken tackles, but a nice little run nonetheless)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=9886150 (o-line busted open a huge hole. holy..)
