If you use the tactics calender check as close to game time as you can as I have had a number of games go with default tactics.
Ticket is festering in support, its not important, just a teams tactics

nope. I might have done that once but not countless times

it happened to us almost daily in south otto a few seasons back. Multiple coordinators using the calendar, once we cut down on the amount of people making adjustments it went away. Not sure if that is your problem or not.

easy solution is to set the AI you want as the default so at least it will run if it changes. Support will probably not do anything about it. TBH

I know what a calender is but what is "tactics"?

This seems to happen to me without fail at least once a season, check the calendar before game time.

Wise advice but the main point is you shouldn't HAVE to be forced to check in before EVERY game just to be sure what you put in place is still in place. Not saying it's a bug... but definitely a major flaw in the system. Part of this game's appeal is that you should be able to check in at ANY TIME and do what you need to do... so the game fit YOUR schedule... not have the game FORCE upon you to make time on IT'S terms.

just happened to me Gus in an important game for the minions. Just checked it and showing default and I know I had the preset in there as I had a specific one designed for the game.

why would you even use the calendar if you are going to check before gametime?
