I think it's long overdue for Bort to stick his head out and speak directly to the userbase. I'm sure there will be some disciples of Bort come in here and post ridiculous shit like "he's too busy" or "people will just troll him". I'll shut that down right now by stating neither are true so keep your pie holes shut.

He is busy though. Clearly not busy with the thing you'd like him to be busy with, but still pretty busy. If it's a question of checking in to field questions and advice about the GLB1 stuff he 'should' be working on, I'm guessing he's gonna be too busy for that for a while...
On the plus side, I got to see some of what he's been working on today and it looks AWESOME.

Sounds like the best reason so far not to spend any more money on this game.

I honestly don't understand why Bort won't come into the forum for 30 minutes when it's holding the user base from dropping hundreds of dollars on this game. It makes no sense to me.

what is a coder with no people skills or business sense posting in a forum going to do for you guys? he had a flash in the pan idea some 6 years ago. why can't you figure out on your own like almost everyone else that it's beyond time to stop buying flex? why do you need him to confirm it?

Actually Bort is was great to talk too. It was the PR guy that had no people skills.

Well... the prevailing attitude in the GLB forums seems to be that the first game should always take top priority and that Bort should scrap whatever else he's working on because GLB good, GLB2 (and fire) bad. But since we do have other projects and he's not about to drop them to come back and do more tweaks to GLB (at least not in the immediate future)... I don't know how productive that conversation would be.
Still, if you guys have a specific question, I can try to pass it along to The Man (or, heck, maybe I can even answer it).

I don't think that it should be a top priority, but I also think it is short sighted of Warrior to have essentially abandoned the game that started it all that still has many loyal paying customers. Having GLB1 being acknowledged as even being anywhere on his priority list would be better than responses like this :
