#1. Epic Holiday (1) - So far, Epic has defeated Gerr, Hired Guns Revamped, Lone Star, Royal and Crib. Epic claims an undefeated record an an impressive strength of schedule. Bryceps and his crew struggled in S40, but they seem to have revitalized themselves for S41.
#2. Fighting Gamecocks (2) - I told you to expect this with such an easy first half schedule, but the fact is that with the East so down FGC will still only face a handful of tough games all season. First real test is this week vs the Abandoned.
#3. Ultimate Underdogz (6) -Ultimate has had a tough schedule having faced Royal, Crib, Lonestar, Myrtle Beach and Chicago already but the road only gets more difficult with match-ups vs All Pro, Epic, LCS and 99 Problems. I think this is a great defense and a solid coaching staff, but they will certainly be tested the rest of the way.
#4. 99 Problems (8) - I love seeing this team putting forth the effort required to be great. 99P must still face Crib, Ultimate and All Pro but still feels like a pretty solid team. I expect a decent playoff seed in the future.
#5. All Pro Falcons (3) - All Pro seemed to be cruising along with a nice victory over Crib before getting kicked in the face by the relatively unknown Surf Riders. A.I. will have chance to prove his team against the brutal West in the coming weeks, but you can't deny that black eye.
#6. TazVikes Nordica (10) - Taz started the season with a frustrating loss to what turned out to be a very solid squad. Since, Taz has not played a close game.... Taz is a force but the East is weak. The true test comes later against FGC.
#7. Crib Midgets (4) - Crib gets the nod here above two 1 loss teams, but that is mostly a credit to the West. Crib has nice victories over Ultimate and LCS, but has some serious games to come against 99, Royal and Chicago. No rest for the weary...
#8. The Abandoned (NR) - I'll admit that I wonder if this team is a legit 8-1... The Subversive game was a dominant victory but if this was a West team, I don't know that they would have the same record. I think this is a solid team in the East, but maybe not an all around lock for a deep playoff run.
#9. Subversive Education (5) - Itsply has one tough game so far and he lost.... BUT I am still giving him the benefit of the doubt. He is a traditional power house and will be stronger after he hits the level 8 equipment upgrade.
#10. Chicago 85' Bears (9) - Gerr has room to improve with a few early losses. Chicago still must face All Pro, Royal and Crib to finish out the season. I'm not sure at this point if I believe Gerr will use it to catapult into a high seed or if he is doomed to a low seed.... BUT I tend to side with the guy who is the repeat defending champ.
