This ranking is loosely based on fact and largely based on opinion. Thanks for reading. Please post and comment!
#1. Epic Holiday (7) - Epic scared me with a close game in week 1 vs a traditionally under performing Mayors squad, but they bounced back with a victory over the two time defending champs. Epic amassed 350 yards against Gerr's defense and showed that they are ready to bounce back from a what was a disappointing S40 in my eyes.
#2. Fighting Gamecocks (2) - No big games yet, but I told you they had a weak first half schedule. Don't sweat FGC's poor schedule. They will be elite even if they can't prove it until later.
#3. All Pro Falcons (3) - Same story as FGC so far. Check back in week 4 vs the Lone Star Mercs for what could be a true showing of both team's talent level.
#4. Crib Midgets (4) - Crib faces SoA, Ultimate and All Pro in 3 of the next 4 games. We will very quickly learn just how good this squad can be. I think the ceiling is pretty high despite last season's disappointing loss in round 1 of the playoffs.
#5. Subversive Education (5) - Subversive should start the season easily 5-0 before facing an unknown in Whymondham then the #10 team in this week's ranking. I still think this team starts out the first half with a great record.
#6. Ultimate Underdogz (6) - Slybert's squad faces Lone Star, Royal, Crib and SoA in four of the next 5 match-ups. Ultimate traditionally places stout defense, but it will certainly be tested the next few weeks.
#7. 99 Problems (8) - Personally, I feel this squad should change their name to Buffalo Billz...
#8. Lone Star Mercenaries (9) - We will know a lot more about this team over the next two weeks against Ultimate and All Pro. Lone Star has a chance to show what they are made of vs these very good squads. I think Lone Star needs at least a split to land a top 4 seed later in the year.
#9. Chicago 85' Bears (1) - I should probably drop Gerr's team out of the rankings in favor of The Abandoned seeing as they are 2-0, but I couldn't talk myself into that. Gerr might be 1-1, but he is the two time defending champ and gets the benefit of the doubt. Plus, it isn't like he lost to some impostor.
#10. Szolnok Soldiers Junior (10) - Szolnok pulled out another close win and will stay in the rankings for now, but next week brings Taz to town. I don't think Szolnok can defeat Taz in week 3, but if they can then I expect they will move up in the ranking!
