I looked at the blocking te forums and everyone was all up ons about it back in '10 but I figure now people are smarter.

Much point in getting it? Seems like a BTE already wins its push matchups.

Favored SA, always good one.

Eh, just because it's a favored SA doesn't mean it's automatically worth it to put points in it. It just means that any points in it will do more than if it wasn't a favored SA. But if the SA itself is worthless to begin with, then making it a favored SA still doesn't make it any less worthless.

But that's a philosophical debate. I don't have much to add on the question of Get Low on a blocking TE, though I do see that on my two all-rushing Palm Bay squads, all 4 of our blocking TEs have anywhere from 4 to 11 in Get Low, and they're all doing VERY well. Whether that's because of Get Low or not, I don't know, but having points in Get Low certainly doesn't seem to be hurting them either.

Get low probably more of a factor if you like to run inside

At this point Pancakes are more a product of your playcalling than anything.

i wouldn't mind putting 6 points into it, when it starts to cost 4 SP is when i start to doubt the reward/cost

Get Low is a good choice for blocking TEs. I also like Lead Block as a bonus SA.

Get low, when if fires, will prevent your TE from going out for another Block. It's not really uncommon to see a TE make two or even three blocks on outside runs. Inside running is another game.

Get Low has literally nothing to do with that. Jesus Christ.

Hmm, I'm guessing you three just aren't trying to understand, preferring instead to troll. I could be wrong though, and you are just stupid, so I'll explain. If a TE cuts someone, he shrinks just like the defender he blocked. Therefore, he can't block another until he gets up which is generally too late. Imagine he doesn't cut block, he may cake the defender then go on to cake more. I've seen three defenders caked in the same play a few times, two many more times.

Get low doesnt insist that the player is going to cut block, it is just saying he will lower his center of gravity (you know, like how you're also supposed to block) and helps push the defender back

That being said I have it on my blocking TE's and like the results.
