How do i get the Punt Protectors to actually hold or get the block? If i use someone fast, he goes right through the defender, and someone slow like an o-lineman, he will get faked out or just not get the block at all.

Well you need someone who's both fast and an adept blocker.
At lower levels, STOP's work best as they usually have enough speed.

Once you're at level 50+ you can sub in a run blocking FB or Te so long as they're at at least mid 60's speed (at mid levels), hopefully more. If you're really desperate and have an O-lineman with at least 80 speed that can work as well. Also blocking WR's can work great here, so can power WR's, but they're not as good as you'll want someone who's worked blocking in that slot.

So... in order from best to worst.
STOP
Blocking FB
Blocking TE
Blocking WR
Fast O-lineman
Power WR
Anyone else

I totally agree with MHS's list. That's the order I use myself.

Blocking FB's if properly built are usually faster than blocking TE's.

Speed IS important... but not the ONLY thing. Whomever you have blocking back there (this is especially true of BW's and PP's for the returner) needs enough speed to reach the block BEFORE the returner does... enough agility to not get slipped past by fast little agile tacklers... and enough strength AND Blocking to engage AND hold the block (long enough for the returner to get past). Having the proper AEQ also helps (hold block being the best). So if you follow that thought, then it's becomes much more about a dot's abilities than it's position.

Not sure what level you're at, but your speedy returner will outrun the blockers at lower levels.

At lower levels, using fast dots that can't really block will work sometimes. Just remember... the dots against you are dealing with the same issues as you are (lack of strength, tackling, ect... skills that generally get addressed later in builds as strength and speed are normally the top 2 skills of most all dots to train.) So, even though you're not getting what you want in terms of available skills in your blockers... your opponents generally aren't going to have what they want in terms of their defenders... yet. Once you hit higher and higher levels, things change... and so should your ST setups. Pre season is a great place to have several 'setups' saved away and try them all... take notes as to which dots preform where and which do not. By the end of preseason, you should at least have 5 solid ideas about who to stick where to best help out your ST's. Save that as your primary package and tweak it as you go along.

wait how do i save "packages" in ST's?
And the stamina is an issue on the fast blockers in rookie right?

You can't. I think what he meant by "package" is "preset ST Depth Chart," which you CAN save.

Stamina is always an issue for any Rookie dot, unless for some insane reason you're pushing Stamina early in your build.

(Yes, yes, I know Pee Wee dots push Stamina early in their build. Again, see "insane reason." )

Yeah. Bottom of the page. Save when done. Smart move and you can save several different setups.

It's definitely different since almost every single builder there builds one&done dots (one season only). Knowing that lets you build differently than you would if building for a long term dot project.

Normally what positions are changed or switched as level increaes? I know the front wedge blockers iE won't be changed. Just linemen.
