There were GL passing plays made and ran on the private server. It got silly ridiculous to defend. It already is a very hard formation for 80% of GLB's DC's to defend.

So... Take away options for the OC to use and make it easier for the DC's to defend. Sounds good. DC's already have more options to defend that OC's... can create your own plays and such. Good DC's can use tags effectively enough that it's not going to hurt them a ton having pass plays out of GL, but will give the OC's a little extra to try and get some kind of advantage here and there.
I wish we could create our own offensive plays to run, maybe like 2 custom plays in a playbook. good DC's will tag dots according to how they appear to be used, so the type of formation shouldn't matter 100%.

Can't tag the TEs in the GL formation. Well, you can one of them. You can assign a tag to the others, but if you pay attention, you will notice they don't work.
