Make a drop down option for zone coverage, so a defender in zone who is free of any assignment, can move to a different zone or blitz.

1) Will it improve the user experience with the game? yes, because the suggestion allows dc's to be more creative with their defense. helps keep thing from becoming stagnant.
2) Is there a business reason for implementing the suggestion? creativity leads to new dots, new dots = more money spent.
3) Does the cost of devoting the coding time to implementing the suggestion make sense? the coding is already there design wise. we already have a drop down boxes for man coverage. copying that code and altering it for zone shouldn't be that time consuming. outside of the trigger that would cause the defender in zone to move to the next option. imo as long as there is isn't a offensive player in the zone or in front of the zone assigned.

You want the SIM to fix your created play because you had your defender in a zone that wasn't needed? Lazy DC

Zone coverage schemes require the linebackers and defensive backs to work together to cover certain areas of the field, making it difficult for the opposing quarterback to complete passes. Zone defenses will generally require linebackers to cover the short and midrange area in the middle of the field, in front of the safeties. In the case where one or two linebackers blitz, the remaining linebacker expands his zone to cover the zone responsibilities of the vacating linebacker.

the suggestion is not anything out of the ordinary.

I have another idea...
Have the defender in zone coverage "cheat" inside or outside for certain plays.
