All the guides that I know are for dots that boost. Any good on out there for non boosting ones?
Forum > FAQ's, Player Guides and Newbie Help > What's a good guide to build non-boosting players?
Example of how I build........Non-Boosting Dots.
1.create the dot.
2.Use 1st set of 15 SP's on your main attribute.
3.Hold your 2nd set of 15 Sp's untill Day 0 of the season. Then your choice if it goes to your main attribute or 2nd main.
4.Use the training points giving on creation and Light train your 2nd main to get the 6 BT's per 2 points wasted training.
5.Use the 36 BT's gained from training and purchase 3 multi training attributes.Any of your mains.
6.Multi train your 4 main attributes and collect BT's to purchase enhance training for your 2nd or 3rd main attribute.
7.Continue multi training untill your 2nd or 3rd season your choice how far your willing to go.I go untill the 3rd season.
8.One your have all 5 stars on your 2 main attributes filled start saving your BT's to purchase custom AEQ.
9.Now you have an item to start storing your BT's in.
Make sure to put all EQ in your main or 2nd main attribute only.
Do not use your SP's in your SA's until you reach level 30.Doing so before then is pointless and almost useless.
Others may do things different but this works great for me.

The best advice I could give is this: Don't build non-boosting dots.
The playing experience won't be the same, no matter what others tell you about underground/unboosted leagues. You'll ALWAYS know that you're riding the bicycle with the training wheels on, and that you're not really giving your player the chance to do whatever it is that you imagined you wanted him to do. Use your free player slots and boost away. If you find that you "need" more players than that, do something with your current income/expense situation so that you can afford to boost whatever additional players you create.
Good luck!

I've always felt that boosters were the ones that were using the training wheels. Training wheels make it easier for yourself, after all, not harder.
As a non-booster, you have to overcome that rather large disadvantage. But whenever you beat a fully boosted team, it's wonderful.
As for the OP, I recommend multi training as soon as possible, but otherwise you're still dumping tons of points into your primary. You'll be competitive for the first season or two because 95% of GLB is terrible at building dots, but after that it will become a struggle to make the playoffs.

Training wheels restrict your ability to perform at the highest level - that's why people get rid of them asap

Why is it "wonderful"? You know yourself that the only "fully boosted team" that a non-boosting team can beat is either a rookie team or a HORRIBLY built boosted team. There are no David-versus-Goliath battles to be had in the non-boosted-versus-boosted meetings unless Goliath was a "special needs" child who never grew out of it.

I had a non boost team make the playoffs every season in Casual, it is a cheap alternative to own a full team and have fun.

Because you can outperform people without having to pay into GLB's ridiculous payment model? If you win with a disadvantage like that, it's pretty strong evidence that you're a better OC/DC than your opponent.

Non-boosted teams remain extremely competitive for 3 seasons, after which they really start to fall behind. I've never claimed otherwise. But they're totally viable during that period and, if run well, should make the playoffs in elite/competitive leagues. That means they are better than at least 50% of the other teams in the conference.
Myself and many others have won elite/competitive championships with non-boosting teams in rookie/prep. So, if you're saying that that is only possible because all 31 other teams in the league were idiots... well... sure. 31 of the 32 teams being idiots is what makes non-boosting viable.

Lol both arguments are convincing. I honestly WOULD boost, just because it gives me an advantege, but it would feel pretty sweet to be on a no-no team and beat a crap load of only boosting team lol.

Haha, yeah. Considering the MLF thingy gets tons of wins over those boosting teams each season.
