Just over 3000 dots have been created in the last 54 hours.

I'm not sure how many were built in the first 6 hours of day 40, and obviously I don't know how many were instantly retired following a mistake.

On the other hand, there are a further 6 and a half days to go in the off season.

What numbers were you expecting ?

Well, I actually did a "census" of sorts on Day 33. In the "Rookie range" (dots that were 0-33 days old at that point), there were 11,310 dots at that point.

Lets see how many "Rookie-range" dots (0-days old) there are on Day 0 of Season 40 though. I don't know enough about the typical dot-creation patterns to know if 3,000 dots by Day 42 is low, high, average, or whatever. Could very well be that most people wait until Day 47 or 48 to make their Rookie dots, or it could be that most people rush to build them on Day 40. I don't know either way.

For anyone curious, here's the complete numbers I did for my "census" on Day 33:

I'll look at that on Day 0 as well.

Actually, should probably be Day 1. I'm sure that's when the numbers will be the most stable.

Novus thinks that there will be fewer rookie dots than 1 season ago, I think there will be more.

Flex purchases and retirements aren't really relevant to the discussion.

Well there are currently 3 Rookie leagues and 3 Casual Rookie leagues, which is more than a season ago.

Maybe the Admins know something we don't as most of Casual Rookie #2, and all of #3 are CPU. Will be interesting to see how many of those will be agent owned, and well populated in a week's time.

I created 10 one and done dots. They will all be retired after this season. I can imagine quite a few of those newly created day 0 dots are the same. Whether it be for PW or perpetual rookies.

How many people screw something up and retire and recreate. Whether it be accidentally intense train when you meant to light train, changing your mind about archetype, putting BTs in the wrong thing, ect... I typically have one dot like that per 10-15 I create.
