Warrior General Games

Obviously the people still here are GLB1 fans. I love it, will always love it, and will continue to support it. I have never played a web based game this entertaining. For those of you that feel the same way, and want to see it keep going. Do what I do, get the word out about the game. The only reason I game to the game was from a friend telling me about it. There are endless avenues of entertainment on the Internet, and GLB boulevard is a road less traveled. The only way to keep this game interesting is not just on the shoulders of the founders of the game but on the patrons of the games as well. So as a fellow gamer here, I challenge you all to do whatever it is can do to draw new players to the game. Whether it be twitter, facebook, water cooler talk, or printing a flyer and posting at your apartment complex or community mailboxes. We as players keep this thing going not Bort. Lets keep this thing going!

I admire your enthusiasm, but answer me this. If Bort -- the guy who actually made this thing and stands to profit the most from its continued existence -- isn't even willing to put that much effort into promoting this game, why should I? Or you? Or anyone else?

Pretty clear at this point that most of us care more about GLB1 than Bort does right now. He's focused on GLB2, and he refuses to dance with the ones who brung him here. His call, I guess, but I continue to be endlessly amused by how surprised he and his staffers are at our reaction to being spurned for his hot new thing.

/cue Corndog or DigitalDaggers saying how much they still care about GLB1 and how wrong I am, followed by them not actually doing anything to back up their words

Ok first of all, I should not say Bort, because I don't know Bort. Whoever it is that is managing this game cares about one thing. And I agree with you that one thing is not GLB1. That one thing they care about is MONEY. They don't put these games together out of their love for web based games to make you, me, and the rest of us football junkies happy. They do this for a profit. They will put their business interest, where the business is. So really save your complaints about how they run things. It is what it is. They are doing this for money plan and simple. So if you enjoy this game and want to see it going, I'm not saying take out an ad in your local new paper to promote the game, all I am saying is just do the little things. If you, me, and everyone that reads this followed thru with this, you would be amazed how many new players would come to the game.

Ok fine dude. There are people that want to just complain about things and just let the happen as they may. LIKE YOU! Or you can be one of those people that tries to take matters into there own hands. Like me! You can go open your own forum thread and complain, this is for pro-active thinkers that want to see GLB1 prosper get back to what it once was.

I suspect he does but either some better communication of his thoughts and efforts or a better showing of his love for his baby would go far to quell the restless masses. Even I wonder just how much he's wanting, or willing, to do to not only keep the game going but GROWING. Everybody here knows the game will be around as long as WE are around to pay to play... but, eventually, without SOME feeling of GROWTH, eventually the enthusiasm will slowly become apathy. Lack of growth is more scary to me than lack of new changes, new games, or any of the other issues that are desired by both us AND the GLB company. I have seen the demise of plenty of on-line games... and would bet that 90% or more die from apathy within. When nothing changes and nothing grows, nothing lives.
