Ok, so I'm wanting to build a dual threat QB.

Obviously with the way the progression goes from rookie upwards and still trying to get a decent end build is tough.

I thought if I started with the Scrambler Archetype as it's the only one with throwing, vision and speed as a major or minor. Most rookie teams will take a rushing QB so you can afford to work on Throwing as your first skill. And build in the order of:

Throwing, Speed, Vision, Agility Strength.....

OR

Speed, Throwing, Vision, Agility, Strength?

I might get drunk tomorrow night and look at a VPB for it.

I don't think you need speed at 160ish for it, as you really can't commit that to the build.

End build would you be looking at speed throwing vision agility all around 90? and then strength over 70, confidence over 48, aiming for 60?

Just initial thoughts, I'm sure it's been done before

Maybe Agility ahead of Speed? Might as well do Majors before Minors.

If you aren't going to build them with a lot a strength it is pretty worthless. They don't break sacks much or break down and run the ball on pass plays much. Even when you are on scramble and run often and have your settings for favoring route distance at 100 and favor long passes. Still won't run the damn ball.

To make matters even worse they like to bounce back into the defensive line causing their own hurry or sack.

Long story short thus far I don't really get the idea of why it has any worth outside of being a PITA for an OC to work around.

I'd like to use the QB in rush plays and pass plays, less of the scramble option (not sure if that negates the thought process).

That should make tagging much harder to do for DC's

Wow, that's a lot of INT's in S39.

Ya but if he isn't breaking tackles he is quite useless in the running game and as a passer all that speed does more bad than good. Most DC's aren't leaving players wide open anymore because the rushing QB is in. Especially when he has shown he can pass.

they're the holy grail but Bort's coding doesn't even let them be a possibility...

they move around like crackheads for no reason and run into pressure. It's like as soon as you add speed, the pocket logic goes dumb.

Yeah... I gave up some time ago. Would love to build one... but it needs to actually ACT like one is supposed to act.

can he be considered a dual threat QB though? I mean, he hasn't had positive rushing yards in his career. Looks more like a great passing QB using the scrambler arch.
