We have to many cpu teams, maybe lower the prices of teams?

Lowering the prices of teams will get more GLBers to GLB classic, and therefore making dots for their team. And that would hopefully lead to an increase of rookie dots here.

But maybe lowering the prices of players as well?

Maybe offer dots for 1/2 price if you own the team yourself? for a season or two. Reinvigorate the market?

Neither will accomplish what you want. It's not the cost of the teams or dots that is keeping the numbers where they are... it's the lack of new people in the game. Without which, you could cut the costs in half for everything and only gain a few more dots and teams for your effort.
Now... if you're wanting the cost lowered so that, hopefully, more people WILL come and join in the fun... then yeah. But I'm betting cast changes are NGTH in my lifetime.

Soon new users coming to GLB is NGTH so they better revise that list before they don't have a game.
Of course I'd be all for any lowering of prices, but if you're going to lower the price of something, let it be dots.

teams are already too cheap. its players that are expensive. if players were half price, but ceq costs remained the same, more players would = more fp spent. who wants to spend this kind of money on an offensive lineman these days? not only do they have to share 1 stat trophy, but they are the only ones that ever get called for penalties. it surprises me that any guards and centers get made any more. and try to find a decent fs on the market. better luck finding a unicorn.

Lowered prices will drive up player numbers.
Thats simple economics.
That said, it may not increase it enough to warrant the added time and expense to the admins.

I think teams are too cheap, actually. Any chucklehead right now can buy a team, fill it with people, and run it into the ground because they have no idea what the fuck they're doing, thereby ruining the GLB experience for everyone on their roster and screwing up the competitive balance of the rest of the league. I guarantee, that sort of negative experience drives more people away from GLB1 than the existence of GLB2.

My math has a team with an initial charge of $6, and $4 a season. That's $0.70 per week, or $0.10 per day. This assumes you buy the $2.50 package over and over again.
As said before, the teams aren't expensive, the dots are. If you really don't want to commit about $3/month on a game (to own a team), you really don't want to play.

Ya lets lower the cost of teams so people can buy several more teams to plant 4 human dots and 51 CPU's.

And the people that talk about players being so expensive never mention the fact that you get a 70% refund on retiring your player. You can live off a 30 dollar investment for nearly 3 years.

This game is dirt cheap. I play for a year on about 35 dollars. Not that I wouldn't like to see a change. Either of two options, teams come with dots, lots of dots, half a team worth of Dots. That way I'd need fewer Agents to field a whole team. Or, enable the building of pro dots, no need to wait a year. No stress every time one of your Agents has a heart attack or loses a job, just build the replacement dot to take the vacant spot.
