I've heard all sorts of things, such as luck, to "You gotta build your player at 12 AM to get a HB as a free player"
Is there an accurate answer to this question?

this is about all the accuracy you will get. i was lucky enough to get a free HB quite some time ago (my current lvl 79), pretty sure i made him in the afternoon too.

just gotta get lucky and make sure you have a free player spot available.

True, though. So people will spend flex here, not GLB2 so we can stay alive.

Find the time when nightly rollover happens in your time zone... and be here when they come out on the other side. That will be the best time to find HB's not at Low Level demand. I've done it as well but if you wait til later, it'll most likely be too late. Same with QB's.

oh sure, give away the secret.....lol. the gap was pretty small a couple of seasons ago for them. but it periodically opened/closed thru out day 41 as people retired players. iirc correctly, the magic ratio is 2.5 per team.

2:00am - Eastern Time (New York City)

7am start - GMT ( London )

If you fail to get one, don't use your free player, or make a player and put him on a CPU team, and then retire him and create on day 40. Day 41 is when all the creating happens, so day 40 never has any issues with low demand.

this is a good idea too. definitely save the free player if you dont get the HB this season. thats my plan.

Thanks, It would be at 11 here in cali. What do you suppose i do if my free player has a game tomorrow? Is there still a chance?

Hmm..well i have to get a Returner dot by day 40. I guess i'll just make if I can't get the HB.

Are you talking about a free player that you have right now?

Keep in mind, you won't be able to retire any of your current players until Day 41. They can't retire if they're under contract, and contracts stay in effect until Day 40 rolls over to Day 41.
