I sent a few of these in last season to support as well as this one, I would appreciate if someone fixed this glaring error. There is no such thing as a fair catch being allowed after the ball hits the ground.

So, I just heard back from support and the verdict was:

It was brought to the attention of Bort "in person" and after review by the programming team "the consensus was that it's ok"

Apparently, there is little concern in regards to fixing broken rules. The NFL does not allow fair catches after balls hit the ground at all, much last, hitting the ground and bouncing 15 yards and (as for prior GLB stipulation) no one is within 5 yards that it should even trigger a fair catch anyway.

If GLB doesn't care enough to fix these glaring rules, why should I spend any money on the game?

This site still says American Football MMORPG at the top, therefore, this should be fixed as nowhere in American football does such a "fair catch" exist.

bort hates st so this will never get changed. think how long we've wanted a punt after safety, or even the simplest st ai

just wanted to point out that this is an issue with almost every football game... hell unless they've fixed it in the last few years madden had this same issue

not that it shouldn't be picked... but still

Yeah. No doubt. And it's not the only penalty that is wonky either.

seems like they just dont care to improve the product anymore.

I probably could have phrased that a bit better. The point was that, like any company with limited time and resources, we all have to prioritize what we work on and, unfortunately, this particular issue is not a top priority at the moment. It doesn't mean we don't (or that Bort doesn't) care about GLB, but he can only fix so many things at a time, you know?

keep in mind that the fact that this is an issue in madden etc makes me believe it's not a super simple fix. Depending on how the code was originally written, this may be a change that requires quite a bit of effort in terms of coding.
