I've never really checked into this, But...if you have a ST C, G or OT.... do any of the pass blocker/run blocker SA's fire for special teams....such as cut block, hands or pancake, etc...?

I like Run Block, Get Low, Cut Block, and Pancake for pure blockers. First Step and Quick Cut also work. I like First Step for Gunner blockers and I like Quick Cut for Back Wedge blockers.

Ok. I take that as a yes, but is it factual that they do fire? Or which ones do.. I would figure stuff like pass blocker or passing specific wouldn't.

STs blocking is run blocking, so the SAs that I indicated fire. Factually.

Not ALL of them fire. Pay attention to those that say so in their bylines. But most do fire. If it says nothing at all about not working on special teams, then you can generally figure they work. However, those VA's that are tied to the LOS generally do NOT fire as returns happen far enough form the LOS to render them worthless. Avoid those.

Also the same applies to SA's. Some of the best are Break Block and Hold Block 5% on your AEQ. And no, pass blocking doesn't because all returns (for and against) are considered run plays.

Well OP never asked about VA's, but what you posted is true.

I never been a huge fan of hold block% on STOPs since nerfs and changes to ST's many seasons ago. Ever since it never seems any dot holds a block much longer than a few ticks, HB% gear or not.
That is mostly likely just my way o seeing it though, agents like TimeTrial that work hard on ST's would know much better than me for sure

Yeah. I just figured I'd include VA's as well since they seem to get messed up more easily (for STOPS) than SA's do. I still use Hold Block and BT's on SA's even after the nerf and they seem to work ok. The big thing I never hear anyone say is to only have 2 5% pieces of HB. Unlike regular plays from the LOS, most ST blocks don't need to be held very long (if you have a decent returner anyways)... so you really don't need 3 pieces of HB. I do fine with just 2. And, again, avoid any Pass blocking SA's as they simply won't apply to ST's... even if the description says something tasty and sweet looking.
