For Dual threat QB s is it always a question of either being an okay passer and a great runner or could you also being a great passer and runner. Since Ive been here on GLB it seems like The Dual Threat QB stands for Wildcat QB or strictly a running QB. Is it possible to have a Russell Wilson type who can Mainly serve as a passer but then run strictly when the play is breaking down? Where would you even being that build and what would the consequences be?

it's more like Throwing attribute needs to be 150+ at a bare minimum (and many QBs are pushing 170+ with VA support) to be a reasonably successful passer
Speed attribute needs to be 130+ (again bare minimum) to be a real running threat
there just isn't enough EQ points to build a true dual threat
on top of that, the sim code logic isn't really all that great when it comes to scrambling QBs like you're looking for. the QBs really aren't coded for roll outs and the decision process for deciding to take off and run is really murky

^^ what TJ said.
There were a small handful of successful ones in the past, but the change a few seasons back to the "step up into the pocket" code really hurt them. Any QB with too much speed started causing hurries on themselves even when the O-Line blocking was solid by getting way too close to the DT/NTs, for no good reason.
Personally, I'd suggest sticking to a pure rushing type build - and throw screen passes with him.

The high speed would also make him run into the Oline when he is trying to pass. Another wonky code thing I guess.

some will argue that dual threat can be achieved but only on a game-by-game basis
you do this by having two complete sets of EQ, one for throwing and one for speed. then decide each game what the QBs role is going to be that game. also keeps the opponents guessing unless you named your EQ something like "Passing CEQ" and "Running CEQ" in which case
now in theory if you did it with 2 QBs on the roster, both with two sets of EQ, you would make tagging them almost impossible. the D would never know which QB was passing that day and which was throwing or if both were doing one or the other. not very realistic, but could work for GLB AI purposes.

interesting idea with the 2 QB's.
In GLB2 it is really easy to make a dual QB it seems. My guy was running a couple times a game for first downs. Kinda neat.

This is the first thing I have heard about GLB2 that truly peaks my interest. I may have to try one of these out.

this sums it up...scrambling is iffy at best...often the qb will go wrong way etc

Just to note this guy is also throwing 400+ yards a game too so it isn't like GLB1 where he is useless at throwing the ball.

This rQB was fairly succesful (I say that loosely) in the passing game, given that he was limited to short and screen passes. But it was only some "extra stats" to keep opponents on their toes.

I ask this because I recently saw a dot (His name was Tim Tebow I think) and he had good passing ability and good running ability and was even able to run people over and surge through tacklers. I didn't think that this was common so I was curious about his build.
