Wow this is pretty outrageous!
Maintenance window tonight (around nightly rollover)
I will be taking the site offline for a little while tonight around the normal rollover time to finish up some final database and code updates required for the launch of our new game.
We will be importing private message data to a new format and server so that your inbox can be shared and accessed across all games and with the NSA. With this update, all users will also find their inbox will be upgraded permanently to allow up to 500 messages, regardless of any team ownership. However, alerts and regular messages will now be combined into one inbox (it's also quite likely we will be removing some of the extraneous alerts sent on GLB Classic in general in the future, since they can get kind of spammy).
With the data move, we will also be cleaning up some disk usage by skipping the import of orphaned messages (those not currently assigned to any inbox) and all alerts older than one week, unless they are marked to be saved, so make sure to "save" any older alerts if you want to keep them. We will not be deleting the old PM dataset set right away, just in case, so if you REALLY need to retrieve an older alert you will be able to contact support to get your data.
With this update done, we will be right on the cusp of the launch of Goal Line Blitz 2, so keep your eyes peeled for more info!
