I was curious as to some of the different Roster Positions people use.

I know some use 4 TE's and some use only 2, so I was curious as to what types of rosters people used and why they use them that way.

You have to decide what type of game plan you want to use before starting a team. Do you want to be pass happy? Do you want to be run happy? Do you want to be balanced?

Once you decide on what type of offense or defense you want to run then you decide what personnel will help you achieve that. If your pass happy than you might want more receiving TE's and WR's and an Oline built to pass block. If you want to be run happy you might want a couple of blocking TE's and an Oline built to push the Dline backwards.

It all starts with a vision man

Do you just want to be happy?

But yeah, what whodey said.

I usually run a PQB, RQB, 2 HBs, 4 TEs, 5 WRs, 3 Gs, 3-4 OTs, 2 Cs, 1-2 FBs, and a K + P.
2 DTs, 3-4 DEs, 5-6 LBs, 6 CBs, 2 SS, 2 FS.
And a shit ton of STOPs + a dedicated return man to finish the 55.

[tangent]
I have a plan for next reboot (if I ever get the energy to do a reboot) that involves mixing AEQ, CEQ, and EQ on an oline to change gameplans from run heavy to pass heavy.

It is more work than I will usually do between games, but it goes like this:

Second piece of Basic EQ to swap between strength and blocking.

Run a two EQ build on two of them and a three AEQ build with CEQ at the same time. Can even have a different piece of CEQ.

Can switch between pass and run blocking AIs using the same dots.

Build1:

Strength + 3 pieces of strength Basic EQ, 2 pieces of strength AEQ, and one piece of strength CEQ
Blocking
Agility + 3 pieces of agility Basic EQ, 1 piece of agility AEQ, and one piece of agility CEQ (maybe)

Can go with 3+1 pieces of strength EQ and one agility EQ
OR
Can go with 2 piece of strength EQ and 2+1 agility EQ (or any combination thereof)

Build 2:
Strength + 3 pieces Strength AEQ, 1 piece of Strength BEQ, and 1 piece of Strength CEQ
Agility + 1 piece of Agility BEQ, 1 piece of Agility CEQ
Blocking

Can go with 4 + 1 pieces of Strength EQ
OR
Can go with 3 pieces of Strength EQ and 1+1 Agility EQ

[/tangent]

The problem will always be VAs and Archs, but I think you could work within that system.

I know some people that use CPUs for BTE and get by just fine.

Alright, I was thinking about making a run heavy Casual team next season, and being a boosting one-man team. I have no coaching ability, but want to build a long term team, and figured Cas. was the way to go. (I know lolcasual)

What would it look like with that as the plan?

They are looking for casual stuff in general, I was curious as not just casual but like the post TT game where its the pos. he usually has and why. My question isn't really answered in that thread either.

i went with a scat HB, powerback, EHB, scat FB, 2 blocking FBs, 2 blocking TEs, power TE, 2 power WRs. so we kinda went run heavy. i think itll work real well in the later levels. i would say do the same, but idk anything about casual. i would go with running over passing though.

was answered twice on the first page. 2 different styles for a run first O. Bhall's is more run heavy and mine is geared toward a run first but balanced O.

as for the question 'why?' seems obvious to me looking at those two rosters. you can always use more or less olinemen to get more or less people in the backfield or more stops.

I see that there are offenses, but if you didn't notice, I asked for Rosters, not just offenses,

For regular offense I go

5 WR (can mix in 2 blocking WR's if you are more run oriented/mix in a poss WR at slot/otherwise i go all speedsters, fakers.)
4 TE (2 block, 2 RTE)
1-2 PB's
1 SHB
1 SFB
1 BFB (maybe 2 if you want another ST's guy)
1 RQB
1 PQB
2 C (some get by with just 1)
3 OG's (some use 4)
3 OT's (some use 4)
(possibly a PFB if you are interested in that, i generally like to mix one in there and currently also double him as my returner)

i dont think there are many differences tbh.

3-4 DTs. 2-3 run stuff, 1 pass rush
4 DEs. 2 run stuff, 2 pass rush
6 LBs. i like 4 coverage and 2 blitzers. you can go with HHs too. drop 1 blitzer and 1 cover and grab 2 HH MLBs
5-6 CBs. i like all man2man corners that can tackle
4 safeties. i prefer man or zone over HHs.

For corners, is there a type of build that rolls more picks then the others?

Are those worth having? or is it too much of a risk for the reward?
