If a power WR maxes bruiser and YAC attack does he get the 120% break tackle ability one second after the catch within 8 yards of the LOS? +75%YAC +45%Bruiser

Or does the BT % max out at a certain point

It's 75%, of course.

But you could see how you'd still want YAC and Bruiser at 15 before and after that initial second, and also between 8-10 yds from the LOS.

Of course, both to 15 was my initial thought

To me, any chance to get a maxed out break tackle bonus is worth it...even if the window is small. PWRs can't fake for shit if they are built right, and they don't catch it much. When they do, you better break free.

Actually, they can be pretty good at catching the ball if built right and still be built as a good PWR receiver build... but even with those two (bruiser and yac attack), you're not going to get the result you're looking for (IMO). I didn't notice much, if any change in their ability to break tackles or gain yards after the catch from just their basic skills. I swapped out for jump catch and increased my catching % and also added Mr Reliable and reduced my KL a lot.

If you built right you shouldn't be getting KLd
and their lack of fake + jumping ability makes it peasy to defend them.

Well... considering it was a Pwr WR and, initially, it was built to be an outside blocker for running plays... I had to play catch-up with my jumping skill. Strength was around 80... catching nearly same... speed was only 140 when completely equipped up... agility was 90-ish. But I had spent some SP's on blocking (since that WAS the original idea for the build)... but was asked to make him better at receiving late in his career. So... I pounded jumping and got that to 70. That seemed to help a ton. And, it wasn't like I had a LOT of KL's... but when your speed isn't enough to get out of traffic, I'd find myself catching passes with 2, 3, or more defenders around... and would occasionally get a KL. I "guessed" it was because of the increased chances against my WR (each defender would get a swipe, I suspect)... and I wasn't breaking tackles enough for me to think Bruiser and YAC were doing anything... so I swapped to Jump Catch and Mr. Reliable and my stats increased. Less KL's and more a higher catch %. Now... if that was simply because of the change... or whatever else... I couldn't tell you. But that's what happened.

Speed only 140? Holy heck that is blazing fast for a power WR....

I think what happened is you built one of the many power WRs I at when I see them in the marketplace,
you built a 80strength 60carrying dot that you expect to break tackles. just not happening.

Just keep in mind that Bruiser only works 8 yards from the LOS so any pass or run from that point and that VA is useless. You'll also want to stack Catch Ball and Break Tackle % pieces to even hope for it to work, but then you still have to worry about these types of builds not working all that great.

Trust, a power WR isn't catching anything beyond 8 yards tbh.

Then why would u waste your time using YAC+Bruiser maxed? You just contradicted yourself

Just keep in mind that any receiver within the first 8 yards will be covered so your first goal is to win the catch ball roll so the WR has to be a solid possession WR first. Then you want to worry about the break tackle roll with your strength based WR. So I'm curious of how you plan on making basically a power HB with 100+ catching.

Was talking about higher lvl WRs, even then Bruiser and YAC both have their independent times when they need to fire.

1. The Power WR isn't getting 100+ catching
2. Short comeback routes/screens

The only possible way you can get any benefit to maxing YAC on a dot with maxed bruiser is if he's catching passes outside of 8 yards. If he is then yes it works, if never you are wasting VA points
