I suggest that a formal appeal process be added to allow a second opinion on thread closures. No one's perfect and even mods make mistakes.

I have a suspicion that if the mods had treated paying customers like adults and allowed more conversation to take place, more people would have stuck around.

I enjoy all the "new" that pops up almost as much as not being able to post in the only one or two threads in the mains that doesn't absolutely fucking suck.

.... in all seriousness though, I wouldn't mind some sort of button that asks for an appeal... but what would probably happen is that AY locked thread would get appealed and the other mods would end up with a whole bunch more work

perhaps if they added something where one user frivolously asking for appeal on threads could have the ability taken away it would work

Too many threads get locked for little or no reason, this would provide an opportunity to both have those threads unlocked, and to give Bort and Co an idea of which mods frequently lock threads unnecessarily so that they can address a major issue with their forums prior to the launch of 2.0.
