It seems to me that they'll already know the ins and outs of the mechanics. That being the case, the testers should have to wait out season 1, as to give others a chance to learn.

Discuss...
Discuss how I should probably stop helping people out with my free time and keep you in the dark about the game... you know, so that you are all coming in fresh. Otherwise people who have never played GLB 1 or read the forums should also get a head start.

Won't be able to hold them out in working with ai's and helping people with builds so really no point. Best to ask a lot of questions when you get in and start. Fwiw the only advantage alpha guys had in GLB1 was levels and that wont be the case here as they will all start same as you and me.
They get a lot of admin and bort quotes on different interactions and an early jump at learning the player builder but overall it shouldn't be much of an advantage

And with the ability to respec, it isn't as though there will be a huge building advantage either.
So long as you don't totally screw up your build by putting 1 strength on an o-lineman, anyone who has played GLB 1 will be just as good (with a little experimentation and work) as the testers by playoffs.
I mean, there's already a pretty big distinction between the people who owned and coordinated in GLB and people who just built dots. If any of the teams that did well in this test season do well in the first Beta season, it probably has more to do with natural coordinator talents and more cares.

They are not commenting on interactions, just if something is a bug or not but no commentary on actual game mechanics.

So they get a head start? They are also providing experienced advice. Alpha testers can be a blessing for software development. They just need to weed out the crazy ideas. Meanwhile, for the rest of us, the smart people will adapt and overcome in time.
