This, you would have players ending up on teams they don't want to be on, possibly having inactive owners, ect. there would be too much crying about stuff.

Would be awesome to do, but will never happen.

We've done drafts before and unfortunately. they have never worked out. It would last all of one season and then the next year after half the teams and owners folded, you were on your own to find a team. Essentially making it so that it made more sense to not use a drafting system. It's quite easy to do if you want to give it a shot but at the time it was being done, there were about 2000% more players to choose from.

I think it would work this way.

New teams would only be afforded this option as it would help fill in their roster.
Agents would be able (as an option) to check which players they would offer up for drafting.

Concept #1
Team's contract offers would expire in 2 days so the process would not take long as offers would be accepted with more haste.

Concept #2
Instant signing with sequential draft picks. Similar to fantasy drafts, teams would chart their picks from most wanted on downwards and the 1st team gets 1st dibs of course. Agents have to do nothing as their players would be signed automatically within this system and without any reason for these teams not to have a decent full roster afterwards...

TN, we will add this to the drawing board regardless.

I think an age 80 draft would be neat for some kind of 12 team league all 80 day players ca apply and t lasts one season.

Are you suggesting the smooth/clean dots we have now are not better than the disproportionate clusterfuck of random pixels in those replays?

I think the only way something like this would work is if it limited the teams with good owners only. There are some real a-hole owners out there that nobody would be willing to sign with. If just any owner was allowed in, you would end up with people not signing offers, or sabotaging builds to get themselves cut.

well it would be fun!

but it would not help much .. MOST solid teams have there builders and groups of builders....

People bitch when I say that but man The number of teams I joined outside of my friends and the ADD Crews...

most of them don't play the game to win....... when you find a solid group of builders and they are all like minded and just fun to hang with.. you hang with them...

would I toss a dot or 2 into a draft.. maybe

A Fantasy Draft would be cool as all hell
... maybe run like the Underground.... drafted teams play each other for a season see who wins... end of the season all dots go back in the pool maybe get 3 keepers..... a season...

It would be fun as hell! and it would get agents that norm don't to play together,,,

I don't have time to run it mind you lol

Sounds like a plan...
Maybe a good option this time around would be to include 2 options for the draft.
1) Live Draft for those that like to draft live.
2) Automated Draft for those that can't be online to draft or would rather not select picks live.

I agree it's fun but I would have no time to run a league at this time.
A draft on the other hand I could find time to do again as its worked very well in the past..
