What happened to the app for this game? It's still on the main page but it can't find the app.
Forum > Goal Line Blitz > App
GLB is no longer supporting it. You won't find it in the app store anymore.
Instead of "there's an app for that" it's "there's not an app for that"

Ownership lost interest in it's own game after gobbling thousands from us. The app is in the same plot as the user base.

It's called Opera Mobile.

Somebody doesn't know how the game (or any) industry works.
GLB has received far more attention from it's developers over time than almost any game...5-6 years is a really long time in the gaming world.
Expecting them to just ride on the ship as it sinks rather than building a new ship is just dumb and selfish.

I mean, let's look at other games released in 2008
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_in_video_gaming
"Notable releases"
Grand Theft Auto 4 - GTA5 actually comes out in a week or two
Metal Gear Solid 4 - A spinoff has came out in the mean time, and they are late in the development of MGS5
Other random games I see skimming through the list:
Valkyria Chronicles - They have released TWO more since 2008
Mass Effect - They have released two more Mass Effect games and have another in development
Battlefield Bad company - They have released two more battlefield games since 2008, and another releasing next month
Tales of Vesperia - They have released two new games in the US, and three in Japan

And unlike all of these games, money spent on GLB transfers over to whatever else they are releasing. Dotcar or something.

To me the difference between GLB and other browser games is that it is still unique as far as I know. As raged as I am it is still an awesome game and concept. It is so disappointing it was never finished and then just put out to the pasture.

I don't care about dotcar, Bort Farm, or Catchville. I am here for the football concept. A GLB2 with a completely restructured website that is more playable I would be interested in.

but your comparing regular console games to an MMO game which are completely different. MMO's are suppose to receive more attention than console games unless the console game released is extremely glitched and needs to be patched. Most MMO games are constantly patching their game and releasing updates. Not to mention its much longer to release new games than to just continually update and patch the same game.
Better comparisons would be to compare GLB to games like
Atlantic online
League of Legends
S4 online
Football (soccer) Superstars
Aion
Drift City
(All these games came out from 07-09)

Id sugget not advertising that they have an app on the home page then.
