really tired of seeing mods lock threads without an explanation.

some mods explain well, others rarely do. some consistency is in order.

sometimes (in suggestions) they say NGTH when its not on the NGTH list. these really should have some explanation... did they speak to Catch or Bort and were told its NGTH? or are they just guessing?

The NGTH list is not an exhaustive list (we actually have the longer list in the mod forum). It's meant to be functional in length. No one is ever going to reference an encyclopedia of suggestions that were determined NGTH.

If you are seeing too many 'Thread locked by moderator' with no post, just direct the threads to me and I'll do my part to align the mod staff. Most of the time I see it today is when it is a 'clear' lock. It's a 3rd/4th parody thread or someone making obvious trouble.

If you have direct concerns with moderation you can contact a lead moderator or support: http://goallineblitz.com/game/support.pl

to explain further, questionable NGTH threads are brought up in the mod forum for a ruling, and locked if it's ruled NGTH. Not mods just guessing or not liking a suggestion and locking it for that.

Believe it or not, we don't tend to do things just because we feel like it. True, our opinions may differ, but we're not just out to exercise authority over an internet browser game because we've got nothing else going for us in our lives.

Sorry about the lack of communication in that case. Lead Moderators and Support are not unresponsive to your properly-based complaints.
