Basically, this would just be a QB who ends up sacrificing some throwing/vision/strength in order to add a decent chunk of speed and agility, some points in On The Run, and a few in Dump Pass.

Is this possible? Has anyone tried it, and what were your results?

Edit: I just want to be clear, I'm not referring to a true rushing QB.

I've seen it tried, yet with most defensive pressure on QB coming from DEs around outside and LB / CB / Safety blitzes from outside - the scrambler usually just runs right into a sack. Plus, the vision is lousy to back side and produces weak throws across body. Seems better to stay in pocket and take chances from there.

Try it and let us know how it works.

I tried it a few times and it takes the perfect build and the perfect OC to make it worth the flex. You aren't going to get anything done on the ground in the pros with less than 130 speed so you pretty much have to have EQ in speed for the QB rush. Here is the best example of a dualie courtesy of jdbolick - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2307818

You can also go for interchangeable throwing/speed EQ and switch it up from game to game but again that takes a good OC to get it right. That also takes away a lot of AEQ options.

Scrambling fails because as soon as the QB tucks the ball to run, all the defenders pass their checks super easily. And there's no ability for a QB to tuck the ball and then go back into his progressions.

If you build a guy who can move they'll just gravitate a bit to the side with less pressure

DeeVee pointed out the best option that I've heard of.

That is havin 2 sets of EQ (one for speed one for throwing) and switching it up from game to game. You might be able to catch some teams off guard who aren't prepared. But also like he mentioned, you need to have an OC who can pull that off. And frmo what I've heard it's pretty difficult within the GLB sim (mostly because of the point made by Romo about the inability to un-tuck the ball and throw)

I tried it once, retired before decline hit.

The passing game is balanced for guys with double PQ%, 80+ strength, and nearly 170 thowing, if you have all three of these things, you wont have the speed and carrying to be worth a damn running the ball. Even if you do the moveable EQ thing, you'll be hard pressed be decent in either setup.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Definitely scrapping that idea.
