Since about everything the Userbase Suggests get's shot down and put on the NGTH List, Why don't Bort and Catch put together a "Suggestion List" and let all the Agents Vote on it? That would save alot of Agents time Posting things that they know they aren't going to Implement anyhow.

They're too busy working on the new games to bother with anything here.

GLB already has done a tremendous job at accepting feedback/suggestions from their userbase. Actually, almost to a fault. What you're suggesting here is the community take control from the business.

GLB makes the call as to what they are utilizing their resources on, not the community. As Dub J mildly eludes to, at this current point in time there is a high priority to push out their new games so a lot of suggestions are far too major/time involving.

sekrit

there have been small snippets in the last couple Q&A's. Bort's quote from the most recent Q&A: Originally posted by Bort
We are getting a LOT closer to starting testing and initial feedback.

I suppose I can release a minor teaser: The project closest to release has some fun retro-styled sprite animation, a more interesting character building system than GLB (IMO), and I think you guys will really have a lot of fun with it.

Lets put this to a vote and see if this is the actual feeling of the user base. Not Sarcasm. ಠ_ಠ

Wrong!
In business, your clients to a large extent, dictate how you run your business. Clients are the revenue and there is no obligation for them to spend their money with you. You need to entice them to do business with you, and blowing them off is not the way to endear yourself to the paying public.
The moment ownership/management ignores or demeans their customer base wants/needs/desires, that business is done

You alienate your clients and they soon become someone else's clients.

I personally think GLB wouldn't have made it this far without user input. We basically built the game for them and they've raped the rewards...

I don't necessarily disagree with your views (as a consultant my clients do very much dictate my actions albeit with wiggle room), but you're bastardizing the application here.

Let me give an example to you. You are the CEO/Founder of an online soccer game. A group of clients tell you that soccer sucks and that you need to build a football mmo instead of devoting time to the soccer mmo. They claim that if put to a vote, the other users will agree that this is the action to take. Your soccer mmo is profitable and pays the salaries for about a dozen employees.

Your criteria for decisions with suggestions are as follows:
1) Will it improve the user experience with the game
2) Is there a business reason for implementing the suggestion
3) Does the cost of devoting the coding time to implementing the suggestion make sense
4) Do the developers feel the suggestion works with their vision of the game

Do you jump because your users say jump? You're "alienating" your clients' wishes after all.
