Forum > Suggestions > eliminate 2 cut per day limit if agent is seriously inactive

when an agent has "disappeared"--is offline for more than 2 weeks, you should be able to cut those players more than 2 per day, similarly to how when a team owners is seriously inactive, new options open up for the players on that team.

this has probably been suggested before, but doesn't seem like there could be any exploit reason why not.

I could see this for rookie and maybe prep. Not really much of a factor after that since you most likely will not find replacements for them and they aren't exactly going to fall off the map overnight.

I think it'd just be easier to have any red inactive player count as a CPU when it comes to cuts. Hell even let other teams sign them to one season deals... if they are gone, it's not like they are gonna complain

#55 ........ if you have dots available to replace the inactives with , then be patient and get it done as you can .... otherwise the limit is good to keep from RAGE cutting ....

...... and then use the inactives for FG blocking units ....

guess it depends on how many dots the inactive agent has on a team. in this case he has 6 on one of my teams and 3 on another, so can be done over a few days. but in cases where an agent has 10+ on a team, it could easily ruin a season.

I agree but would like to see the time extended for this. (What is it now for the red to appear... 1 week or 2?) I would push for 15 days inactive for this consideration. Also would want that to be heavily UP FRONT for all agents to know the change... not only the old ones, but the new ones as well. We surely don't need another 50 threads raging about how someone lost their computer/connection/whatever-reason-for-not-being-able-to-check-in... and that they didn't KNOW that this would happen.

also would be nice to change/get rid of the "this dot was cut by this team within the last 20 days" thing-- when the particular agent went inactive we would have liked to bring back a dot that was sent down to the d-leagues but can't.

the 20-day rule should at least not apply to dots on CPU teams/d-leauge teams.

Not sure on the exact length, but it's less than 10 days.

+1 to this, if the time range is lengthened a bit as well to the 14 or 15 days Wizzago mentioned. I don't see the need for rage cut protection on red inactive dots, and would keep teams from losing a season to 1 agent going MIA.

true, but I think that simple market availability might help vs that. Someone only 8 days inactive (especially with auto-training) is not worth cutting and resigning a new player. Taking the chem hit and maybe settling for a crappier build)... but someone half a season or so, ya I could see that.
