You can always do what I am doing....turn off auto training and wait until Day 1 to see how many TPs you have left to use. You can train at day 281, you just don't get any more TPs to use.

You will not get Training Points during the rollover from Day 0 to Day 1.

That's true. And if you have enough XPs left, one of your options is to buy Training Points. So that's important to consider.
