I am guessing it does not count Interceptions as targeted? How can you be targeted 12 times and allow 20 receptions and have 9 INT.

if any player was in your zone and caught the ball, it counts as a reception allowed even if youre covering a different dot in that zone. i think.

Well, for several seasons it has been like this. Basically targeted only is counting targets of someone you are assigned to be covered. While any time you are in the "vicinity" of a player who caught a ball it counts to allowed. As far as I am aware the "vicinity" was never precisely defined though.

Just my opinion, but I think targeted only counts when the player you are tasked to guard is thrown at. I don't think it counts on zones and double-teams.

That HAS to be true.
The player was Targeted only 12 times, but has allowed 20 catches and has deflected 34 along with the 9 ints. The 20/34 (as well as some or most of the 9ints) must all be due to zone coverage, double teams and any time the CB helped out on a pass play that wasn't specifically aimed at the man he was guarding.

Indeed as I have stated I believe this has already been shown. However, I would like to know how many of the targets were caught..... seems like a better measure. Incidentally, I would like to know the other direction as well. How many times was my player in the vicinity it was completed versus incomplete.

This would be a good question for the next Q&A.

yeah thats it, why dont you sent a message to that guy and ask him all about it.

It would be a good idea to remove screens from receptions allowed.

I made a thread about this a while back about Linebackers and it was given zero cares by Bort or anyone. It's GLB broken, which basically means Working As Intended.

Would be nice if KL's didn't count as receptions allowed. The game considers it an incompletion, and it is, so it shouldn't come up as a reception allowed in the player stats.

But I've been whining about this almost since they made KL's a stat, and nothing has changed
