To keep this simple,

Player A is a 6'4" 300lb DT w/ 48 jumping.

Player B is a 6'4" 360lb DT w/ 48 jumping

Will player A have a higher jumping ability, or will they both be equal?

I don't think I've ever seen a Bort-quote stating that weight played into your 'jumping ability'.

I've seen him state weight plays a role in speed. So using your example, by replacing jumping with speed, Player A is faster. So... Inserting my assumption... I would assume jumping is coded similarly. Though, like Romo, I have never seen Bort say so specifically with regards to jumping.

I would assume it plays no part. Height has been the only thing he has ever brought up in relation to jumping.

I think this is worth asking in an one of their Q&As that they won't promptly make. It technically should, but that doesn't mean it does. It may have been an indirect effect that was not thought of at the original point of coding.

imo it should not matter on weight and be solely on the jumping attribute with nothing else affecting it. How many 295lbs guys have a 37in vertical or can jump up on a 55in box?

Just cause someone is lighter or heavier doesnt mean they can jump or not. Another good example is LeBron James. Dude is 260+lbs and prob easily a 42ish or so inch vertical. Which is higher than the majority of the people who weight less.

Physics says that there is more going on there. Weight is part of the equation even in LeBron's case he just overcomes it with some freak abilities. This would be similar to a 360 lbs spending more attributes into jump to get the same output that a guy who spent less but weighed less.

Agree that it's a good Q&A question. Someone remember for the next Q&A, lol.

You have two identical dots, all attributes, SA's, and VA's are equal. One is taller than the other. Does the taller one run just as fast, faster, or slower than the shorter one?

They run the same velocity. Weight affects velocity, not height. Height affects jumping and balance.

I would ask it in the Q&A.

But based on the fact that Weight can affect speed, height:jumping etc I would say it's pretty likely.

Not sure why Height would effect jumping. Being tall or short doesnt make you jump any higher or lower.

I think he means maximum reach. Compare a 5'9" guy and a 6'3" guy. If they have equal jumping ability, 6'3" guy is going to reach a greater height. 5'9" guy has to jump 6 inches off the ground just to reach the height/reach of the 6'3" guy.

I recall Bort also saying that strength does not affect jumping ability.
