#1 The penalty should increase more for big plays allowed. Pretty sure if a team scores a 70 yard TD, somebody on the coaching staff might mention something about watching out for that play next time.

#2 There should be some kind of 'proximity' penalty as well. There really isn't a huge difference between a I-form HB dive, and a strong I HB dive for example.

#3 The same theory should apply to defenses, if a formation yields a sack by the same player every time it's called, then it seems like there would be some kind of blocking adjustment made.

The fix is called scouting, imo. So no thank you to the suggestion.

I wouldn't mind seeing something done about the Big I Sweep Plays to be honest. Teams don't even Game plan any more on Offense hardly, They just run those Plays all Game knowing that some of them are going to bust open. Tired of seeing the same thing over and over.

Big I sweeps are more random big plays than always big plays.

big i sweeps never do shit for me. maybe its just in the upper levels, dont even have ppl running them constantly against my team.

I dunno about all of this but I seem to have seen a TON of pitch plays going for TD's lately. Now outside runs have been a gripe for DC's for a LONG time, but it just seems like there's more this season.
I suspect SOME of this issue could be addressed by allowing the DC's a little more flexability in dot placement on the field... as long as the DC's realize the farther out you cheat your dots, the more vunerable you become to stuff down the middle.

FYP And I agree with the repaired post.

I'd +1 this for young teams--there's a lot of exploitative plays/styles that only work at the rookie-prep level.

The biggest problem at all levels isn't the plays/formations so much as the continuing problem with puny WRs being able to block 2 DBs at a time (or maybe the problem is the 2 DBs not being clever enough to know not to both lock up with the WR when there's no need for either to do so).
