Just curious for when I start buying AEQ, what am I looking for? I've never bought AEQ before, so not 100% sure how it works or even what the 'best' is I can grab for my FS.

Make Tackle %
Avoid Fake %
Pass Deflect %

If you plan on having catching 48+, INT % also serves a nice purpose.

Alright, so I took a random spin, got a +2 speed, 5% make tackle. Grab it eh?

Ya that is a pretty solid piece there.

This is a classic case of where settling for just a little less is better than trying for a more perfect piece. There are those that would throw this piece away and wait until they got a +3 speed instead. That could cost them a LOT of BT's trying for that "perfection". While I PREFER a +3 piece, it's not worth chasing the dragon for. I agree with bhall, fuzzy, and aaasahi... get it.

1 speed is not worth crying over when you pick up a piece that near perfect.

And I guess on the topic of stats, should I be looking for +2-3, or is none-+1 good enough?

If it doesn't have a +attribute you can add it after you purchase it. For example, if you roll a +5% avoid fake piece, you can buy it and then add the +3 speed to it from your equipment upgrade page. The cost for the +3 speed will be 50 BT.

I personally would have passed on that piece...

The only way I would get that piece above is if I was trying for a 4AEQ dot. And thats still iffy. If its a 3 AEQ dot then id be more patient and get +3 to the attribute only.
