There's no good reason for my dot's team, the Minnesota Crows, ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1708 ) to be in National Pro. We're essentially a retirement home. We have an EL now of 50 and went 10-6 in a watered down Reg Pro league last year. We lost 255-0 in the first round of the playoffs and somehow that deserved a bump up to National Pro? Come on. The Crows (EL 50, PV 803) are in the same conference as the Dragon's Revenge (EL 84 PV 1440). How is this good for either team? This is messed up.

National Pro is too diluted. There needs to be a minimum EL. The alternative is to force people to retire their dots (not gonna happen) and have CPU teams take their place or leave things as they are.

/rant.

Thoughts?

I think simply trimming down the movement between National Pro and Regional Pro would make a world of difference. If only the bottom 4 left every national pro conference each season and were replaced by the aprpopriate top teams coming out of regional pro, I think we'd see more stability and competition in all of those leagues.

Dude. You were assigned to National Pro on Day 43. You had from Day 43 to Day 48 to file a ticket with Support to have your team swapped out with someone in Regional Pro.

Why didn't you?

EDIT: Actually, Day 42, not 43. So you had a 6-day window to open a Support ticket, failed to do so, and now you're whining in the forums about something you could've fixed yourself.

maybe....probably could use some tweaking of the promotion rules.

Too much work, and not enough trade off for them to fix anything of the sort.

"Fixing" GLB now.... NGTH, accept it and keep playing

BTW whenever someone mentions the word FIX, mods will jump on it and claim... "IT IS NOT A BUG"
Gets a laugh out of those every time

Upon further review, I see the OP isn't actually the team owner, so that limits what he could've done.

Still, though, the OP could've at least sent a PM to the owner. Heck, even opening up a Support ticket anyway couldn't have hurt, because then Support could've contacted the owner to see if they wanted to move.

Or, the OP could've paid more attention to what team they were signing up with. But, eh, whatever, nobody pays attention to that, apparently.

Just because it's not a bug, does not mean it can't be improved upon. This is not a bug, the system worked as writing. Maybe some need to learn what is and is not a bug.

In my opinion there could be some improvements to the promotion/demotion system. There is a system in place to help correct oversights, as Novus mentioned. Is it a bug that the owner of that team didn't choose to use it?

Honestly, I had no idea what sort of support is in place for this sort of thing. I've never owned a team before. I don't even know where to look to find out whether any team is being promoted or demoted in the off-season. I've never been on a team with an owner this absent so a situation like this has never come up. So yeah, I'm going to play the ignorant card.

The fact that this sort of thing will happen if an owner doesn't message Support within 5 days is kind of silly anyway. It's summer. People go on vacations. There should be some sort of fail safe in place or there should be some sort of minimum EL requirement. Another plausible option would be a league for players in decline.

Only three teams in all of Regional, National, and WL have a worse EL than the Crows and they are in Regional Pro Comp and Regional Pro. I guess I can count on my dot getting 200+ tackles this year

my guess is the owner is just a retard.

he sold the team my LB is on one day into the season with no notice. I don't really care because the dot is just there while its growing up, but still bullshit. Now my LB is a kick returner, too. Trying to win MVP.

The owner just posted in our league msg board that he wasn't even aware of the promotion until the new season started. So a message to him on here wouldn't have changed anything.

So we've decided we have a retarded absent owner and it's 100% his fault that his middling regional pro team is now a bye week for everyone in Pacific Pro's SE Asia this season.

Got it. Glad the system is working as intended.

Not saying it can't be better. But there are some responsibilities to owning a team. No matter the system if the owner is asleep at wheel, you're going to have a bad time. Expecting GLB to have a system in place that accounts for every possibility is silly. There is a well established method to correct mistakes in promotions. In fact, I think they say as much in an Alert every season.

what would you like them to do? they can't move the team now and the retard owner missed his chance.
