I was using the VPB and I was just wondering how many you needed to create all of you're equipment?

425 each - fully upgraded at lvl 79. Lower this amount if you are lucky rolling for them in the store.
Yes..fully upgraded at it's highest level will cost 425.
50 for a +3 to an attribute, 75 to add good bonus ability, then 30 per upgrade, there are 10 upgrades, so, 30*10 = 300. Add all that up and you get 425.
There are cheaper bonus abilities, but I wouldn't advise using them.
You do know you get the first set of equipment free?

It is only 425 if u build a +5% bonus piece. SA pieces are much cheaper and as KOP said, u can roll for a few of them.

Would it be logical to start saving after 3 starring Top 4 attributes + multi training stars?

Yep.
That's what most peeps do. Somewhere around level 30+... when you have saved at least 100 BT's (hopefully more)... is when I start rolling. Sometimes, with certain archetypes, even earlier.
If you're building instead of rolling, take some time to do the math and find out WHEN you want to change over from multi-training to light training to have enough BT's to build ALL the AEQ pieces you want.

Since there is an active thread in reference to AEQ. If you do find an AEQ piece and say it's +3 to an attribute and that's it... can you add an SA ability to it? Is it worth buying or should you shop until you find a +3 with an SA ability?

Depends what the +3 is in. If it's in your primary, than yes, for sure. But don't attach any SA or % piece to it. Wait until you are done shopping. Might even be worth it if it's a secondary and you are short on BTs, won't be able to fully upgrade otherwise.

Is it worth the chance of losing BT's to buy the +3 piece and try rolling for a +3 with SA or %? The piece I found is a +3 blocking, which is a major.
