Forget Gold/Silver/Copper...

Much how people try to make it to "Casual Pro/Natty Pro" make it as follows

Highest Pee Wee League: Pee Wee Pro

Have 1-2 tier 2 leagues: Pee Wee University

Have 2-3 Tier 3 leagues: Pee Wee Little League

Amount of leagues adjustable to the demand of teams (always have 1 pee wee pro league and 2 pee wee university leagues. Only supply more little league, leagues if all the teams are sold. (This gets rid of the gold/silver/copper like Dub J wants, this adjusts the league set up like everyone else wants, and this creates more competition in the Pee Wee Level.)

IMO implement now...

I haven't looked at Pee Wee in a while (and tbh, no one has ever sent me a pm asking me to - if they had I might have done so more sooner) but just glancing through the leagues, it's obvious there is little need for all the Pee Wee leagues we currently have.

What if we just went with a tiered system that worked something like the regular leagues do.

Pee Wee Gold - the 32 best, bottom 8 from each conference (16 total) demote each season to keep things fresh and challenging and to give plenty of opportunity for new teams. Demoting teams go into a Pee Wee Silver #1 or #2 league.

Pee Wee Silver #1/2 - all teams that make second round of playoffs (16 total) promote to Pee Wee Gold. Bottom 4 teams from each conference (8 total) demote to Pee Wee Copper #1 or #2.

Pee Wee Copper #1/2 - all teams that make the conference championship game promote to Pee Wee Silver #1 or #2 (8 total).

That makes for a total of 5 leagues which at 32 teams per league = 160 teams. Currently I think there are approximately 115 non-CPU teams in Pee Wee so this would leave more than enough room for new teams if needed.

Open for discussion but that's a preliminary idea to work with.

Would support this since it's pretty much what we're asking for, but could we also get Dub's http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4627149&page=1 included in an update? It's only been a thread for two years now...

I could live with that, I suppose. Not really what I wanted but it's a fair compromise. I do think the amount of teams demoted from Gold every season should be lessened to 8 rather than 16, though.

Not sure how to work that out since it would be odd for the Silvers. If 8 promoted that would mean the 4 conference champions. Not sure about how to work the at-large. Just don't like such a high turnover with only two leagues feeding Gold.

Maybe either use playoff tiebreakers or margin of loss for the conference runner-ups to decide who gets the 4 at-large promotions.

I think 16 demoted would be much interesting

+1 any upgrade on PeeWee is good and needed, i like catch22's setup

As it is, I would prefer to go with Pee Wee Gold, and 4 Pee Wee Silver Leagues. Drop Copper completely.
