Here's yet another brilliant jdbolick idea. Instead of having fixed percentages for the first through fifth place finishers, weight the MVP lottery by the MVP scores. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4179420&playoffs=0 had 1,029.06 more blowout-adjusted rushing yards than anyone else in NAPL. 1029!!! The difference between him and the second highest guy would have been enough to finish 25th in the league. He did win OMVP, and presumably by a huge margin. So weighting the MVP lottery by the actual scores of the top five finishers would have given him a much better chance of winning it than if the top two or three or five were all very close together in performance for that season.

A weighted lottery could work I guess. Seeing how much of the game is based on RNG, though, its seems fitting that the big endorsement is awarded in a more random manner as well, though.

Consider this a +0.

Apparently http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=3144413 won the special teams MVP equipment for WL Zeta.

WAT?

This makes absolutely no sense. Yes, there is an element of rng to the game but that random number is already, in itself, weighted by the builds involved in the "roll". This suggestion is actually bringing the MVP roll in line with the rest of the game by giving a player's end stats an assigned weight by overall score (similar to build) rather than position.

Fix ur weights bort!

This goes against why the lottery for the MVP EQ exists in the first place. We'd potentially go back to teams purposefully pushing for the MVP EQ (in leagues they don't care about).

This is stupid. If there is concern that people will abuse the system in order to get MVP EQ, that should be dealt with on an ad hoc basis rather than with a flat rule that causes the system to make no sense. We're better off just getting rid of MVP EQ than using the current system.

Wow, if jd and LHF both agree then it has to be good.

+1 on that merit alone.

+2 on the merit that the idea is really good.

+1 simply because InRomoWeTrust thinks it is a bad idea, so it is clearly a good idea.

+4 overall.

I realize that math, logic, and pretty much anything involving the brain aren't really your strong suit, but try to grasp that this would still be a lottery. All it would do is weight appropriately instead of pretending that every 2nd through 5th finisher in every league is equally worthy.
