If I purchase a 5% make tackle AEQ piece from the shop can I then spend BT's to add a +3 skill modifier to it?

For example, I spent 19 BT's on a 5% piece then spend 50 BT's to add +3 speed. That costs me 69 BT's instead of spending the 125 BT's to purchase it normally.

Will that work?

That is exactly how it is suppose to work. You saved 56 BT - how ever many it cost you to roll for it.

Another AEQ Question..

I read some people roll at level 31. Should I roll 3 times and stop if nothing or wait 41

That's a good way to do it.

Budgeting your AEQ rolls is always a good idea.

Actually sticking to your budget is an even better idea.

This ^^^. You should plan your AEQ the same as you plan your SP spending. While most people go with the 3 and out rule for rolling, I prefer to use my plan. I preset how many BT's I want IN STOCK before rolling for a piece. Once I achieve that goal, I am free to roll at anytime. Also, I know using multitraining gives me 12 BT's every time it fires... and that it takes 3 BT's to refresh the page... which means I can roll 4 times after each training session once it fires. Once I've bought a piece, I re-assess my BT status and set up for my next run at a piece. I repeat this until I have purchased all 3 or 4 pieces I want... then I plot out how many BT's I need to max out each piece against what I have left. This gives me the date/time when I stop multi-training and start light training to reach the end product.
In the last 5 seasons this system has never failed me... but I must say that when deciding to roll for AEQ you do place yourself at the mercy of chance and fate... and sometimes, while I may WANT 4 AEQ, I end up with only 3. Building eliminates this problem... but also costs much more.

I rolled a 5% Avoid Fake chance on my OLB Run stuffer (only plays the edge)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4405531

My plan was :

5% Break block chance
5% Make tackle chance
First Step (I'm not sure yet on the 3rd piece)

But that AF piece is interesting. Should I go with it ? He only plays OLB Run stuffer against blocking TE, OT disrup the run and screen plays so he won't make many tackle thats why I think I should pass on the Avoid Fake chance but some people really like that piece thats why I'm asking

If he's hardly playing any pass coverage then it's probably not worth trading any of your other pieces for. Just my opinion though.

Agree. Stick to the plan hard. If your build is all about being a Run Stuffer, then you've probably spent your SP's in skills to make that happen as best you can. Keep the same mindset for your equipment. If it isn't helping your dot design, then it's not what you seek.

So would something like a "+3% break block chance, +1 tackling" be good for an LB'er or is it generally better to go ahead and wait until you get a +5% on something useful? I'm at level 31 and rolled thrice, so if that piece isn't worth it, I'll just wait for lvl 41 since I didn't see anything else that stood out as exceptional to me. This is my first time messing with AEQ so I'm reading up and trying to figure out what's worth it and what isn't still lol. I noticed the AEQ the OP is seeking didn't mention anything about an addition to an attribute, just the +% chances and the addition to the SA.

No. That piece is no good at all.

Wait for a naked +5% piece, or a naked +3 speed piece.
