To be perfectly honest, adding the karma feature was a horrible decision. I frequent a couple of other sites that added this feature years ago and they almost immediately removed it due to abuse. I tried to warn anyone that would listen that adding karma here was a terrible idea based on my experiences in the past with it. In other words...I TOLD YOU SO!
I'm in disbelief that some actually want to bring the karma feature to more or all the forums. Probably the same people that think the report button is a great feature.

It is a decent way to allow the users to control what is and isn't worthy of being a thread in those 3 forums without obviously breaking large rules or spamming.

Its funny how the guy who most likely votes more than any user on glb also receives more thumbs down than any other user posts this.
If someone wants to know what I am talking about look at GD for the last year in a thread dub posts in, there is almost always thumbs down on every post he doesn't like and it is blatant spam on his part.
