Just created a speedy WR level 1 right now with 13 catching. How much catching should I give on average per level? Or will he get ALG's in catching and I shoudlnt worry about it?
Forum > FAQ's, Player Guides and Newbie Help > My new WR keeps dropping passes?
Speedsters have a minor in catching, so you won't have as much catching as a Possession by leaving it alone.
Just try to ignore it, you really need to focus on speed.
If it is really a problem contact your OC and tell him to give you better routes with better opportunities,
your bread and butter right now are uncontested catches.

Is there anything wrong I'm doing here or is it just something I have to work through? Would you mind pointing me in the direction of some FAQS for WR? I have been reading and it doesnt say much about the beginning stages.

To put it in perspective, I was thrown to 8 times, was deflected 3 times and had 5 drops which is insane.

someone else can point you towards some building methods to help ya out but I will say this. You are level 1 in a league that probably has an average of 10+ levels above you so all the CPU teams you are facing are probably at a level of 10-15 while you are 1. So gonna be hard to see much good from that.

LOL.
Yeah, you're going to have to get used to it.
For next season, I reccomend you making your guy sometimes between D42-D48, You get the most TP, and the chance to boost once before the start of the season (If you are going into rookie).

Huh didnt even realize that. So basically I should have picked a less competitive league. I assumed all the initial contracts were for level 1 people. Thanks for the info at least I know I'm just behind the pack level wise.

I might as well reroll then? I do have an extra free slot for a player so is there a faq somewhere that mentions creating a player on D42? I believe I saw it somewhere but cant seem to find it now

well it is midseason so anywhere you go is going to have some levels on you at this point. Most guys started this season are already level 8.
If you want to see him do a little better this season, just put points into catching, and then retire him this off-season and start over at the proper time (day 40-48). You might as well enjoy this season as much as possible.

Blah guess I'll do that and just re-roll on day 40. Is a day a real day? Meaning today is the 13th so I have to wait 27 days to make my new dot?

Also don't assign SPs unless you can Cap an attribute. Looks like your speed is at 44 without equip right now. You should not apply any SPs until you can reach it to 48.07
Then you'll need 2 SPs to gain 1 speed. So you do not assign until you can reach it to 60.52 (when it costs 3). That way you can train your attribute and use the ALGs.
