Obviously you can watch the replays against them to determine what they are doing, but I don't want to click through every play. There should be something that breaks down the plays run against their defensive sets.
You can shortcut like this by simply calculating percentages of runs vs pass (offense OR defense), types of formations, ect, ect, ect. But you won't get nearly as good of info as you do by watching plays. Back when I did scouting (before there was a "scout team" option), I'd select several games... preferably close scores of both wins and losses... then take notes about percentages. Once I had that I'd then select a handful of plays from given situations (like 1st & 10... 2nd and short... 3rd and long... ect, ect.) and watch for repetitions or certain formations, dot actions, and note WHO was where in those formations and what they did (like blitz, zone, spy, ect, ect.). The better you scout, the better your OC and DC can prepare.
