For pure rushing QBs it is not a viable option because a pure rusher is not put into many if any passing situations....right? So shouldn't the VA's name be changed? Or better yet the Archetype? Having a "Rushing" archetype with Agi/Spd/Vis as majors would make a hell of a lot more sense.

I think that would make it all too easy. Realistically nobody wants a pure rusher at QB because then there's no passing game and the offense becomes 1-dimensional. The scrambler archetype is meant to be just that, someone who scrambles out of the pocket to keep the play alive and only runs if necessary. The Scrambler VA is made to break sack tackles, which only occur behind the line of scrimmage on passing plays. Once they start running and move past the line of scrimmage, then it's no longer effective and he is not scrambling. He's rushing.

Look at what happened to the Vikings when they had Joe Webb under center in their playoff game. It was so 1-dimensional it was laughable. GLB is meant to simulate real football, so they try and make it as realistic as possible. If a player is gonna be at QB, they better have throwing as a main skill.

You know nothing, Jon Snow.

while changes to the archetypes are NGTH this is the appropriate place to discuss this... That said, if spd was a major for rQBs the rQB's int his game would be way overpowered.
I'm OK with the way it is now, and for the record to throw screens, you don't need THAT much throwing

Oh, okay. Guess I'll just go sell my team then.
Plenty of ways to make an all-rushing offense avoid being 1-dimensional. You just need some imagination, careful scouting, and some damn good dots.
I don't want a Rushing QB Archetype, though. I like the mix we already have.

If it was a major it would have to be an arch just like an elusive back at .5's. However I think more speed on an RQB is actually a bad thing.

Eh, Big I and GL are only about 20% of our play-mix, and we rarely throw screens. But we're also way down in University right now, so check back with me when we're higher-leveled, I guess.

Once it gets to pro it is all Big I and some GL for running. The other plays are just thrown in for lol's.
I was enlightened by Time Trial this offseason that if your QB isn't throwing at all then there is no reason to add the scrambler VA. Seems like someone could easily confuse this. I actually forgot to reset it for a couple of my pure rQBs this offseason
Which is mostly my reason for this thread.
I'm not sure I see the difference between switching out throwing for speed as major/minor.
