Obviously TE is the real open man, but WR2 yelled "I'm open" then run into double covering.......though he made catch. lol
So, question is, how do player think he is open?!

WRs always think they are open, just ask them

I know that. I did the same type of thing last year and got permed lol. Took me all preseason to get it repealed.

No....he doesn't have a clue

This would be a good question for the next Q&A, I guess. Are there any Attributes or SAs that can make a dot more likely or less likely to shout "I'm Open!" on a passing play?

I would think Vision is the biggest factor, but I actually wouldn't be all that surprised if Confidence played into it some as well. Remember, this isn't football... it's Bort's idea of football. We've seen plenty of differences between the two in the way different aspects of the game are programmed.

Fakes are definitely built into it, whether directly or indirectly. It seems like whenever a WR fake happens the QB is heaving the ball that WRs direction even if they really didn't generate all that much space.

He obviously knew what he was doing. He caught the TD.

It has to do with the number of yards between him and the nearest defender at the time. It has nothing to do with the fact that the space that he is ABOUT to enter is covered, which of course isn't something that Bort feels like programming around for the same reason that we don't have QBs hitting 6 foot 6 WRs or TEs that are being covered (from up the field) by defenders who are 5 foot 8. Instead of figuring out if there is any way in hell that this coverage is going to happen if the QB just used the vertical axis as his friend, Bort has no problem with the little guy making the deflection.

There was still so much work that this game needed, but the Admins just quit.
