My pHB has over 50% to break tackles anywhere on the field this season, not just within the 8 yard line. My thought was that he would be able to break more bogus diving tackles using slippery once he is past the 8 yard line, but this STILL keeps happening: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2311805&pbp_id=2307694 .

This is crazy. Its an MLB, so maybe more understandable, but CB's do this crap all the time. What kind of break tackle odds do I need to break an open field tackle? I cant really stack this guy any more than he already is. I am open to suggestions though

You got tripped up from behind... Strength isn't going to save you, but jumping might.

No break tackle abilities (except maybe Hurdle, I'm not sure) will work when the tackle attempt is from behind or to the side.

Stiff arm only works when the tackle attempt is to the side, according to bort.

Right...but I wasnt talking about spin/power thru/another break tackle SA helping here. Just the sheer fact of 50+% break tackle alone should be enough. He has plenty of broken tackles without SA's firing that I would think he'd be able to rip off some weak ass CB's arm with his legs when a shoe string tackle is attempted.

Diving tackles and knocked loose have been like this forever, nothing you can do unless you want to kill the build of a dot by bumping "Jumping" to 70+ and adding 8 to "Hurdle" to SA

And I bet they will still happen, but might reduce them by 10%

I just want to see as many diving catches as there are diving tackles

only true answer in this thread is deathblade's.

but if you really want to break tackles like the one posted, you need to lose 80lbs. your dot is 260 and just ran 70 yards. he doesnt have the same tackle breaking ability at that point that he had behind the los.

That wasn't a diving tackle it was just a tackle, and since bruiser wouldn't activate there your break tackle score really wasn't that high, also, you're slow and have no momentum and you got gunned down by a lb'er. Fix ur builds

Strength plays more into head on tackles. Diving tackle by a 60 or 70 jumping defender from behind is an easy roll
