I looked thru the change log but got cross eyed and couldn't find it anywhere. Thought I read somewhere that this only worked on o-lineman. Is that true or can I use it on a blocking FB or Blocking TE? Or any other position for that matter? Troll away if you must but I would like if someone would give me a legit answer please. Thanks.

I hadn't heard that it doesn't work on special teams. Where did you hear that? You wouldn't happen to have a link?

So a new player to this game is supposed to know this how? They really need more info on all that stuff making it clear when it can be used. Maybe icons on the SA/VA stuff. A O/D/ST icon, eligible position icons maybe IDK. Most of the info people have is acquired over years time with many changes per season. Now that it's in alpha and the sim is "set" there needs more concrete info given for pretty much everything.

But it does work for STs, according to Catch as of October 2012. See the link I posted above.

And it should come with a 15 yard penalty from the spot of the foul.

Inside the tacklebox

That's chop blocks.... blocking below the knees... that's legal inside the tackle box as long as the one being chopped isn't engaged with another blocker. Of course, this assuming we are in real life football, not so much GLB.... Cut blocks are a very legal and often used block that WR's and such use against LB's and CB's or anyone else down field... again, the one being blocked can't be engaged with another blocker. This, however shouldn't be allowed on ST's...this is very illegal on ST's due to the speed at which players are running down field and how easily it would/could be for someone to go low on someone full speed from the side and seriously injury them.. again...real football talk.

In gridiron football, cut blocking is an offensive line technique that consists of an offensive player knocking a defensive player down by hitting his knees.[1] The technique, which was initially instilled by Bobb McKittrick, the offensive line coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 1979 to 1999,[2] is often criticized as being "dirty."[3] Additionally, it is illegal for an offensive player to "cut" a defensive player already engaged with another offensive player. This is considered a "chop block." In the NCAA, cut blocking is allowed as long as the block is no more than five yards away from the line of scrimmage and it is inside the tackle box.[3]
