I'll say this... trying to "save" a build from any mistakes you feel you've made is WAY much harder than simply taking what you learned and trying again. I did that for, like, forever when I first got here as GLB kept making game changes and I had to re-learn the new stuff and start over. No complaints... it made me a smarter dot builder. If you've got flex to burn and feel like riding it for fun, lessons, and whatever else (team commitments come to mind), then sure. Ride it out. But if you're a bit tight on cash and need to build dots you feel comfortable taking to plateau, then I'd advise a re-start/recycle.
This is actually pretty solid advice. I do think most of the build changing games changes are behind us now. Bort moved out of BETA because he wanted to never really think of the game ever again. However, I think it is can still be frustrating to build a player that you are 100% happy with. At some point you will have to give on something you did not think you were going to give on prior to starting. It is the nature of the game, and it is actually one of the good things. I will say it is easier to deal with a mistake later in a dots life than a mistake in the first season or 2.
