allow the top effective level players to be on a ranking board, making it easier for teams to find the players, and fight for signing the players.

a ranking board for each age group (0d-40d, 40-80d, etc.)

Also let it be a trophy if you build the best at that position for that season.

effective level is hardly a good measure of the quality of a dot.

You can train kicking and punting and increase your effective level drastically...

I don't think listing the ocho cinco wrs is going to change anything about the game besides having a few more poorly built dots and some potential ego surrounding them.

i agree it is not a good measure of quality, but it is a measure nonetheless. having this board would make recruiting easier and funner IMO.

When funner becomes a word, I will plus 1 this, until then, 90% of the players in this game are in networks and on farm teams, so unless something catastrophic happens those players never make it to the marketplace, 5% of the players that aren't in a network of some sort, usually aren't good the other 5% would rather be on a cpu team than a team with a newbie owner.

And and effective builds aren't what you think they are.

People's terrible grasp of English grammar aside, I think the OP's suggestion would be kinda fun, though certainly of limited usefulness. But still, for anyone who has ever experienced the joy of looking through the Search results for free agent dots to fill some roster holes, it is pretty frustrating that there's no way to sort the dots beyond age, level, or name. Sorting it by Effective Level or Player Value would allow me to eliminate a LOT of potential candidates. As limited as Effective Level is as a metric, it's a pretty good bet that if your EL is lower than your actual Level, your dot sucks. I'd rather not waste my time having to even look at them in the first place.

So, +1 to the OP. It won't be as helpful as he thinks it will be, but it will still be helpful.

(Edited to fix a grammar error. )

could have official scouts for GLB who have their board rankings... like the Mel Kipers of GLB... that would be fun to see anyway

we can start a new forum subject, arguing over who's gonna be a bust after university and who could end up WL. That's the main reason I'd like to see this blue chip system implemented, it'd be a great forum to troll :]
