I don't think any decent DC will let a dot uncovered even he know that's a blocking dot.
So that low catching and jumping won't help him winning catching roll..........
You will just waste one down.

I am thinking of the short out or in routes, where the TE is often uncovered initially. At times if the receiver is slow it seems almost that he gets picked up even slower.

If you put him as your first target and a usually open RB as your second, I am thinking that is a viable play.

But most of the time I am thinking of this being when the BTE is low man on the check down pole. It just prevents your opponent from tagging him as only a run blocker, without really doing much harm to your passing game.

Thing is, at lower levels, that kinda thing does work. But once you get up there (around level 70+), the abilities of defensive dots against his lack of speed will have them on top of him by the time the pass gets there... and then aaasahi's predictions will become truth. Don't fall victim to the "It might help" syndrome... and you'll build a better dot if you stick to a more specialized style. A Blocking TE will never make the HOF or the highlight reels... but that's fine as long as he does his job and helps others do that. Team player and all that stuff.

Yeah but then I feel like an idiot for choosing the dual threat archetype. WTF was I thinking.
